History

FM 1528 was designated in 1949 and has undergone no changes to its route description since then. The route incorporated Spur 39 into this highway.

Route description

FM 1528 begins along FM 64 at Antioch 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Cooper and passes south to FM 2068 at the former community of Gough. The road then proceeds eastward to SH 24 which it briefly follows before branching off to the south to Klondike. At Klondike, the route intersects FM 2890 and then proceeds to the northeast along the north shore of Jim Chapman Lake
