Route description

FM 3479 begins at in northern Fort Worth. It travels east and then north along Harmon Road East, and is a two-lane roadway for its entire length. The route passes through rural, undeveloped portions of the city before ending at an interchange with the freeway.

History

FM 3479 was designated in 1986, along its current route. Despite being a relatively rural route, TxDOT internally transferred the mileage of the highway to Urban Road 3479 (UR 3479) in 1995; as with other urban roads, signage still uses the traditional Farm Road marker.
