History
From its creation in 1945 until 1963 it was only seven miles long extending from US-290 to an unnamed oil field. In 1963, it was extended west to Waller County line. In 1964, it extended more west to FM-362. In 1965, it extended from another point on FM-362 to FM-331Farm to Market Road 331
