Fastway Couriers was conceived in April 1983, aiming to operate cost effective hourly pickup and delivery services between Napier

(New Zealand). Founded by Bill McGowan, Fastway entered the franchising

As of 30th September 2011 Fastway started closing it's English Franchises due to unknown reasons.
Fastway has failed in numerous countries (due to lack of profit). These include, England, Canada, France, Spain, Portugal, Scotland and Wales. So far Ireland has been the only true success story in Europe.
