title in 1999. It was Cork’s first provincial title since 1992. McCormack later won a senior All-Ireland
medal as Cork defeated Kilkenny
in the championship decider for the first time in twenty-one years. He won a second Munster title in 2000, however, Cork were later defeated by Offaly
in the All-Ireland semi-final. McCormack’s involvement with the inter-county team ended shortly afterwards.
