The Fermatta Music Academy is a private music university with campuses in Mexico City

Mexico. Founded in 1993, it is the only music university in Mexico to give bachelor's degrees in contemporary music certified by Mexico

The Fermatta Music Academy has become one of the most prestigious contemporary music universities in the world with large percentage of its graduates being some of the most acclaimed music industry professionals in Latin America. Fermatta Music Academy has also become a recruiting ground for industry professionals due to the level of expertise of its graduates.

Campus has facilities of the highest industry standards to optimize the learning experience with classrooms for instrumental instruction, musical ensembles, recital halls, production studios, and editing and sound mixing studios.
On the other hand, a scholarship fund was established for the school by the Abbywho Foundation, and destined to benefit the best students. The scholarship covers 100% of the cost throughout their studies.

The Mexico City
Campus is located at the South end of the city, close to the traditional San Angel area. It contains three buildings fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure to teach the most advanced study programs.
The main building is located in a privileged part of the area. It is a house built in the middle of the 20th century by the renowned architect Juan O'Gorman
that lets us feel the nostalgic mood of a city that has evolved in unimaginable ways throughout five centuries. It has acoustically conditioned classrooms: halls of instrumental instruction, music ensemble classrooms equipped with amplifiers and consoles, editing and mixing studios with ProTools technology.
The most prominent part of the building are three state of the art recording studios, with vanguard equipment.

It has a very rich musical history and has always been considered as a city that best reflects Mexico's culture. Cradle of many of the greatest artists in the country, this city is also famous for its quiet and traditional way of life, linked to the charreria, the mariachi and Tequila.
It opened in 2006. Originally set in the Lafayette neighborhood in a very beautiful part of the city. In response to the need of a bigger campus, the university moved in 2009 to a much larger campus where it now sits. The Guadalajara
Campus is located next to two of the most famous avenues in the city, Lopez Mateos and Niños Heroes, right in front of the emblematic Glorieta de los Caballos, which holds the renowned monument La Estampida.
Since, the Fermatta Music Academy has filled in a void that has existed in musical education in the state, the second most important center of musical production in the country after Mexico City

The Guadalajara
Campus infrastructure is brand new and cutting edge. It has a fully operational and state of the art auditorium with the latest in live technology.
The Fermatta Music Academy is the only institution in Mexico and in Latin America that has this state of the art equipment.
This study program was created to give the student the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge and experience to perform professionally.
As a result of assimilating all the indispensable knowledge in this area, such as physics, the fundamentals of sound and the technology necessary to manipulate it, the students will be able to create a design accordingly to the highest expectations of any artist and of the industry at large.
Thanks to the study program developed with the purpose of showing our students the wide variety of interpretative aspects, such as improvisation, music reading and composition, the graduate will project a huge dominion of his instrument and of the best execution techniques on stage, as well as the recording studio.
The graduates will be able to work in the industry as artistic directors, composers, arrangers, copyists, producers as well as in many other areas apart from having the necessary knowledge to perform professionally with a chosen instrument.

New direction
In 2006, after a change of ownership and under a new administration, with the support of the Abbywho Foundation, it has been reshaped from a once a fledgling music school into a prestigious institution of higher learning with changed in to specific areas, infrastructure and study programs.
