revealed that Arau was unexpectedly let go along with 300 other employees. Arau mentions the network having spoken to him about his leaving but cited other possible reasons for his removal, namely his large compensation, his failed projects with the network, and even a small mention of past issues with his religious beliefs.
Although he leaves the network mostly grateful for his twelve years of service and experience gained, he regrets the "unprofessional manner" in which he was let go. Part of his grievances include his not being allowed to say good bye to his audience. His departure was mentioned in a two minute section the Monday of the first show that aired without him. In an interview with Mexican gossip website Notimex, Arau contends that even the show's dog mascot was allowed a few minutes on air to say good bye before he was taken off the show.
