Description

Ferocactus robustus forms large cushions reaching a height up to 100 centimetres (39.4 in) and a diameter up to 5 metres (16.4 ft). This plant is spherical to club-shaped and has eight sharp-edged ribs. The funnel-shaped flowers are yellow and reach a length of 3–4 cm (1.2–1.6 ). The fruits are spherical, fleshy, yellow, 2 to 3 inches long.
