Ferryhill has also had some very successful basketball teams. In 2008 the P7 team reached the Aberdeen final, but lost to Broomhill's team.In 2010 the P7 team also reached the Aberdeen Final but lost by only 2 baskets to St. Josephs. Ferryhill in 2011 won the aberdeen basketball final against scotstown.
they also won in 2011 the league cup final for football. it was a dramatic encounter. they were 2-0 down but in the last ten minutes got back too 2-2 then 3-3 after extra time and they won on penalties.

Sports
Ferryhill Primary School has been involved in many sports, mainly football. The school has had many successful teams take part in leagues across Aberdeen. The lower P3, P4 and P5 teams, and occasionally P6 teams, all play just friendlies. The 11-a-side team won the Trophies International Cup in 2007. The cup is the second largest played among Aberdeen schools behind the Willoughby Cup.Ferryhill has also had some very successful basketball teams.
