Fesenkov (lunar crater)
Encyclopedia
Fesenkov is a lunar
impact crater
on the far side of the Moon
. It is located to the east-southeast of the prominent crater Tsiolkovskiy
, and less than a crater diameter to the north of Stark
.
This is an eroded feature with an outer rim that has been irregular and somewhat rugged due to a history of lesser bombardments in the vicinity. The interior floor is somewhat uneven, particularly in the eastern half, and there is a central rise at the mid-point. From the outer northeastern rim is a chain of tiny secondary impacts leading to the east, radial to the Tsiolkovsky impact.
Moon
The Moon is Earth's only known natural satellite,There are a number of near-Earth asteroids including 3753 Cruithne that are co-orbital with Earth: their orbits bring them close to Earth for periods of time but then alter in the long term . These are quasi-satellites and not true moons. For more...

In the broadest sense, the term impact crater can be applied to any depression, natural or manmade, resulting from the high velocity impact of a projectile with a larger body...

Tsiolkovskiy (crater)
Tsiolkovskiy is a large lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies in the southern hemisphere, to the west of the crater Gagarin, and northwest of Milne. Just to the south is Waterman, with Neujmin to the south-southwest. This feature was discovered on photographs sent...

Stark (crater)
Stark is a lunar crater on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the southeast of the prominent crater Tsiolkovskiy, and north of Subbotin. This is a heavily eroded crater with a jumbled outer rim and uneven interior. The pair of slightly smaller satellite craters Stark Y and Stark V are attached to...

Satellite craters
By convention these features are identified on lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid-point that is closest to Fesenkov.Fesenkov | Latitude | Longitude | Diameter |
