Through the use of asynchronous wireless communication, users are continuously updated with the latest information. Project plans, manuals, standards, specifications, field sketches, forms, and much more are all handled by the system.
FACS Project Controller is a Web-based system, thus it is globally accessible to clients from any Web browser.
For remote locations, FACS Anywhere utilizes FACS' patented synchronization technology running on rugged tablet PCs to provide field users with constant access to all project data regardless of internet connection. Inspector reports, RFIs and reports are collected directly at job site and are immediately available to the entire project team. The tablets are typically connected to the internet via EVDO wireless modems to allow for always-connected access to the FACS servers.
Tablets are constantly synchronizing data between the server and the tablets. Should a user lose connection, all data is stored locally on the tablet, allowing the user to work uninterrupted until the connection can be reestablished and resynchronized with the server. This is of particular value to construction projects in areas with poor cellular service.
