On June 12, 2006, Devon Williams announced the band's official website was « done forever » http://dtwilliams.blogspot.com/2006/06/summer-tour.html. In July and August, he toured (and sold a demo with new material) under his own name instead of the Fingers Cut Megamachine moniker. Dave Benitez (formerly of Osker
and part time member of Fingers Cut Megamachine) is now part of a new project called The Black Heartthrobs. Although nothing was announced officially, it seems that Williams is now operating under his own name solely.
In April 2008 he released Carefree on Ba Da Bing, his first album released under his own name.
