where he studied Arts. He left the UCD RFC in his second year of college and joined Blackrock College

. Carr was the top try-scorer for Connacht during the Magners League 2008/09 campaign, scoring more tries than the rest of the squad put together making him joint top try-scorer in the league that year. He is Connacht's
all time top try-scorer with 34 tries Despite this success Carr has yet to receive his first full international cap.
The Irish Times quoted saying he is "Perhaps the fastest winger in the country one of Ireland’s outstanding performers against England Saxons
this season".
