Fireal is a Finnish rock
band from Helsinki
, Finland. The band was founded by singer/songwriter Caleb, former lead of Finnish band Bleak
in 2009. On September 9, 2009 the band released their first single entitled The Imperia and it can be heard on the band's Official Website and on the band's Official Myspace. The band made recent news at Blabbermouth.net a site run by Road Runner Records The band also continues to perform music from the leads former band Bleak as a continuation of Bleak under the name Fireal. Familiar songs like "Crossword", "What You Are", "Silvertigo", "Fate
" and more from the "[Burns Inside]" album have been adapted by the band.
The band was formerly known as Flamer.
’s lineup ended in 2009, the creator of their music, singer-songwriter Caleb was left with the material for the new album, cover designs, a new style – but he needed new band members.
After 12 years of being in the band, it took 5 minutes of thinking before he gave a call to Tayo, the drummer from a popular Finnish band Killer
, who had also played drums on ‘Crossword’. Caleb introduced him to the idea of a new band and asked if Tayo wanted to join in – and by Yoda’s green ears, he did! One thing lead to another and slowly they started recruiting new band members. While focused on creating the new, Caleb didn’t give up everything he had created before, so he kept the old logo and music from the album [Burns Inside].
It wasn’t long before Tayo’s triend Jay joined on bass, and later on Hepe, the guitarist from another popular Finnish band Kwan, also tagged along. Tayo and Jay happened to know one hell of a guitarist, Waino, and once Caleb saw him play, he was so impressed that he used the Force to get him to join the crew. As T-Noir, an electric music wizard and a long-term friend of Caleb’s, also decided to join in, the circle was complete. Caleb updated their sound and eventually picked a name for the group from a Deftones

Fireal started their touring in 2009 with the Lost in Music Festival, and later that year they performed as the opening act for the Finnish rock giant HIM at the Helldone Festival 2009. 2010 saw the group featuring in the Finnish movie Harjunpää ja Pahan Pappi (The Priest of Evil) with their song ‘The Imperia’. The very same year, their first single ‘Halo’ was one of the most played songs on the Finnish radio. In 2011, their following singles ‘Breathe’ – a song co-written with Max Martin and Per Aldeheim – and ‘Ariel’ have gained a large amount of airplay on one of the most popular Finnish radio stations, YleX.
The new album ‘THE DARK SIDE’
is a solid manifestation of mundane intervention in divine affairs for you to enjoy, consume and indulge in over and over again. ‘The Imperia (Call Me Now)’, a dark and majestic song with cryptic lyrics shows you the real dark side of Fireal. While straightforward rock songs like ‘Halo (Hello Beautiful)’ and ‘Breathe’ hit you in the head with fiery energy and with simple killer melodies that will occupy your soul. The tragical and fragile story of ‘Ariel’ introduces you to the sentimental side of Fireal and softens even the toughest heart.
Led by Caleb with his amazing pipes and slick tunes, Fireal is primed ready to serve you with a healthy dose of emotion, excitement, out-of-body experiences and soothing sonic sculptures, delivered by decibels. The mixture that they prescribe and administer is a charming sonic potion of Imperial Rock , a genre that crushes the walls of sound with sensitive pop aesthetics and more hooks than on a ten-inch Rapala lure. Fireal burns with red flames and black shades, it leaves no living soul cold. Even in the shivering pits of Hell or the blizzards of the Arctic Circle.

and Finnish accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen
had picked up the boys first award for "Best Nordic Song" at the "NRJ Music Awards 2007" in Finland. The song was written for the Finnish/Chinese inspired film Jadesoturi. The band's single "Play" had also marked its place on the Official Finnish Singles Chart at number 2.
One of their newest singles "Halo" was filmed on the set of Finnish movie "Harjunpää ja Pahan Pappi", Directed by Olli Saarela
. This is also the start of a reboot for the band, whose new album is set to be released on April 27/2011.
Their newest single "Ariel" has been released via youtube on March 16/2011.
On April 2011 Fireal released their first album, "The Dark Side
". The album was released via iTunes
