Contestants must be at least 18 years of age and in excellent health. To qualify to compete in the Fitness America Pageant ESPN National Championship, you must enter and compete in any of the regional Pageants held throughout America or in the ESPN2 Saturday Night Series. The Top 5 at each regional and the winner at each of the fifteen ESPN2 Series events will be nationally qualified for the Championship.

Events on the Musclemania World Tour are open to any amateur natural bodybuilder. There are divisions and weight classes for all bodybuilders including Open Men & Women, Novice, Masters, Grand Masters, Junior and Mixed Pairs. Athletes can qualify and earn their professional status only by winning selected events and/or weight classes.
