Forest Hill Collegiate currently has an enrollment of 950 students and a teaching staff of about 55. Although most of the graduates attend university, the school provides programs at all levels of study. The majority of courses are offered at the academic or university levels.
The Student Council executive is selected each spring for the next year following election campaigns and assemblies. Executives positions include President, Vice-President, Treasurer/Secretary, Social Representative, Sports Representative and Junior Vice-President. The Student Council is responsible for carrying out and planning activities such as Hillstock (see below).
At FHCI there is a tradition of student participation and leadership. This tradition goes back to the school's inception. Elections for these positions are held in the spring for the following year. Teachers and current prefects vote on who will be elected as a prefect. As a recent tradition, twenty-five (25) Prefects are usually selected. However, in years where teachers find it extremely difficult to narrow the field to twenty-five, a few more are chosen.
A body of students committed to the management of Music related activities. Positions include President, Vice-President, Treasurer(Ledoux), Secretary, Band Representative, Strings Representative, Vocal Representative, Stage Crew Manager, Student Council liaison and Members At Large.
The school offers many student run clubs and activities. Some of the examples of clubs at FHCI are: Jewish Culture Club, Environment Club, Model UN Club, Math Club, Science Club, Chess Club, Video Club and many more.

History and Overview
Forest Hill Collegiate is located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue just west of Spadina Road, and is named for its location in Toronto's wealthy Forest Hill neighborhood. The original building was erected in 1948 by the Board of Education for the Village of Forest Hill. The school is built of the side of a hill and has tennis courts, an athletic field with a track, and a hockey arena for the use of student and the community. The school also has a swimming pool. A total renovation of the school began in 1992 and the new building was completed in spring of 1994.Forest Hill Collegiate currently has an enrollment of 950 students and a teaching staff of about 55. Academics
About 90% of Forest Hill graduates go on to post-secondary schools with most attending university. The courses offered at Forest Hill depend on grade year, and prerequisite courses. The departments are as follows: Art, Business, Computer Science, English, English as Second Language, Geography, History, Math, Moderns, Music, Physical Education, and Science. The school's ESL program is known as one of the best in Toronto, with the school having a very high percentage of non-Canadian born students.Student Leadership

Traditions
The school has a series of several traditions.Examples Include
- Hillstock: A celebration/party for students and staff to celebrate the near end of a school year. Students usually receive year books on this day. It is tradition that the Student Council plans Hillstock, while the Prefects assist during its operations.
- Prom taking place on the last Thursday of May, with Hillstock occurring the day after
- Commencement (graduation) taking place on the Thursday before the week of Thanksgiving in October
- United Way Week and The Funky Dance Marathon

Athletics
FHCI is a Tier One school in the Toronto District. The Team name is the Forest Hill Falcons. The hockey team, "Falcons" and Sr. Football Team in Toronto are traditionally ranked in the Toronto Star top 10 for Hockey. They went to OFFSSA for the 2008 provincial Hockey championship. In 2007 the Forest Hill Falcons baseball team won their league championship.
