Forest Run Public School is an elementary school is named after obviously the street it is on and is a school for children in Kindergarten to Grade 8 located on Forest Run Boulevard in Vaughan, Ontario. It first opened in 2002, taking in many students from other schools in the area such as Joseph A. Gibson Public School. The first principal of this school was Mr.Cunningham who left due to retirement. There are now over 700 students learning at this school and the school mascot is the Forest Run Falcon. The current principal is Wendy Howes, and the vice-principal is Mark McTaggert. It is a new school, but its acception of differences in all children make it a great place for education. There are many clubs you will be able to join such as Instrumental Band, Flower Club, Battle of the Books, Volleyball Teams etc. Every year since the school first opened there have been Talent Shows which are now called Spring Show Case. Every month is given a character trait and at the end of that month, two students are selected from each class. The students at Forest Run are being taught french from grade 4 through 8.
