The Fourth Hatton Ministry was the twentieth ministry to come from the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly
. It was sworn in on 21 December 1987 after Chief Minister

reappointed former minister Terry McCarthy to fill the ministerial vacancy caused by the resignation of Tom Harris
. The ministry operated until 5 April 1988, when Deputy Chief Minister Ray Hanrahan
resigned from the ministry, shortly before resigning from politics altogether.
