in 1722, a seat he held until 1725. Edwardes married Lady Elizabeth Rich, only daughter and heiress of Robert Rich, 5th Earl of Warwick and 2nd Earl Holland, and through this marriage the substantial Rich estates came into the Edwardes family. Their son William
also became Member of Parliament for Haverfordwest and was elevated to the Peerage of Ireland
as Baron Kensington
in 1776. Edwardes died in December 1725.
