Biancheri had previously founded the European Students' Forum (AEGEE) in 1985 and the thinktank LEAP/Europe2020 in 1998.
In 2003 he was among the top twenty "heroes" for being a "French champion of European unity" in a poll by Time Europe

He lives in Cannes
and has one daughter.
