Bradley ran as a Progressive Conservative candidate in the 1975 Alberta general election

. He defeated Incumbent Social Credit MLA Charles Drain and two other candidates to win his first term in office. Bradley was elected winning a slightly larger plurality to earn his second term in the 1979 Alberta general election

Bradley ran for a fourth term in office in the 1986 Alberta general election

. He ran in a two way race against New Democrat candidate Mike Cooper for the second time. Bradley held onto the district by less than 100 votes. After the election he lost his cabinet post. He ran against Cooper for a third time in the 1989 Alberta general election

, this time winning a more comfortable margin of victory. Bradley retired at dissolution of the Assembly in 1993.
