Friends of the Earth Scotland

Friends of the Earth Scotland is an independent member of the Friends of the Earth
international network of environmental organizations, and operates separately from Friends of the Earth in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (EWNI). There is no single Friends of the Earth (UK
).
Since 2011, Stan Blackley has been the Chief Executive, who took over the role from Duncan McLaren. The role had previously been filled by Kevin Dunion

Friends of the Earth Scotland has been described as "arguably the most effective pressure group in the country" by the Sunday Herald

FoE Scotland is part of the 30 national organisations that Friends of the Earth Europe
represents and unites at the European level.
High profile campaigns have included the anti-M74 motorway
campaign in 2006, and the 1994-2004 campaign against a planned superquarry
in South Harris.
