Most of the school building was constructed by end of 2011 and ready for school operations in January 2012. The remaining works, mostly landscaping and construction of the remaining 1/3 of classroom blocks and field, continued on and the school building was officially completed in May 2012.
The school had its soft launch at the nearby Frontier Community Centre on 30 June 2011, from 7pm to 9pm, where the architectural model of it's building was unveiled.
It took in it's first batch of 240 students through the 2011 P1 Registration Exercise at West Grove Primary School from 18 July 2011 to 25 August 2011, under phases 2B and 3.
