Fuad Nahdi is the founding editor of Q News
, and a freelance journalist.
He was born in Mombasa, Kenya, and graduated in economics in Nairobi. He came to the UK in 1983 with a Reuters fellowship. He then graduated in journalism from City University and started his career, working in many media companies: International Islamic News Agency, Associate Press, Los Angeles Times, the Guardian and the BBC. In 1989 he married Humera Khan.
As well as extensive media work, Fuad Nahdi was also the presenter of "September 11 - Through Muslim Eyes" - broadcast on Channel 4 on
Friday 6 September 2002.
On March 11th 1990 he had a son called Nadir Nahdi. On March 14th 1995 he had a daughter called Ilyeh Nahdi.
