. The prison consists of mainstream medium security cell blocks, a drug and alcohol treatment unit and a protection unit.

The prison also has a minimum security section made up of cottages of four prisoners per cottage (currently 120 can be housed here). The prisoners must be Minimum rated to live in this section, they must have prison employment (a lot done off site).
