, and was aired in 1999. The show was inspired by its preceding program Gimik
, both of which were directed by Laurenti Dyogi. Starred by some of ABS-CBN Talent Center's (now Star Magic
) finest young artists, G-mik is one of the most successful youth-oriented program aired in the Philippine television. The original cast includes Camille Prats
, Angelica Panganiban
, John Prats
, Carlo Aquino
, Steffano Mori, and Miko Samson. After the show's first book, new faces were introduced like Heart Evangelista
, Danilo Barrios, and Janus del Prado
. Later on, the show was rivalled by GMA Network
's youth-oriented program, Click
. G-mik ended in 2002 and was replaced by K2BU, followed by Berks

G-mik also became an instrument in introducing love teams such as Camille-Steffano, Angelica-Carlo, Heart-John, and Camille-Danilo. These love teams became popular and successful even after the airing of the program.
