Gabin is an Italian nu jazz
band featuring Massimo Bottini and Filippo Clary. Their name is a reference to the most popular French actor of the ’30s and ‘40s – Jean Gabin

. Their debut album, Gabin (2002), features singles "Doo Uap, Doo Uap, Doo Uap", "Sweet Sadness" and "La Maison". The 2004 album Mr. Freedom includes the single of the same title. Their song "Bang Bang To The Rock'N'Roll" was featured in the 2005 film Fantastic Four
and in the 2008 film Sex Drive
. It has now been eight years since the release of their self-titled debut album featuring the international hit "Doo Uap, Doo Uap, Doo Uap". Quite unexpectedly, this Italian duo found themselves with not only a Top Ten hit in their homeland but success around the globe, encompassing over 35 countries from the US to New Zealand; Argentina to Russia. Gabin next released a seductive album of blues and blue note-influenced uptempo grooves entitled, Mr. Freedom.
