Gabriel Torres entrepreneur, journalist, writer and teacher, is a prominent expert in electronics and computer science.
He is the founder and director of Hardware Secrets
, a leading US-based computer reviewing website, and Clube do Hardware
, which is the largest independent website about computers in South America. He has also written 21 books about computers (all in Brazilian Portuguese), with several of them featured in best-selling lists at the time they were on the market.
He released his first book, Hardware Curso Completo (Hardware Complete Course), in 1996, the same year he launched his Brazilian website (Clube do Hardware

In parallel with these activities and with his own higher education, he started writing his first book, released in 1996.

Early years
Torres was interested in electronics since he was very young. When he was eight years old, he already collected magazines targeted to electronics hobbyists.
