Still a state owned company, Galenika is gradually moving towards a privatized model. As of 2006, Galenika remains a leader in research and development as the only pharmaceutical company in Serbia with an institute registered with the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection.
According to its most recent annual financial report submitted to Serbian Economic Register Agency, the company has 2,711 employees and it posted an annual profit of RSD
