Encyclopedia
The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon is an upscale shopping mall located in the southern Pittsburgh
suburb of Mt. Lebanon
.
It opened on the corner of Washington Rd. (U.S. 19) and Gilkeson Rd. in 1964 as a Kaufmann's department store with 250000 square feet (23,225.8 m²) of interior retail space. In 1988, the building was converted into a 62-space shopping mall after Kaufmann's moved into the former Gimbels department store building at nearby South Hills Village

New stores were added during and after the renovation; it is now home to approximately 40 stores. Anchor tenants include the boutique shops of Restoration Hardware
, Williams-Sonoma

and Pottery Barn
. The mall announced the addition of Jezzabelle Ladies Wear and Synergy Fitness Spa to open in the spring of 2006. Entertainment and dining offerings at the mall include a six screen cinema
