Gareth Morgan is a British organizational theorist, management consultant
and Distinguished Research Professor at York University
in Toronto, known as creator of the "organisational metaphor" concept and writer of the bestseller Images of Organization

In the 1960s he had started working as a accountant
in local government. In the 1980s he begins writing books, starting with Beyond method: strategies for social research in 1983. Late 1980s he became Distinguished Research Professor in the Faculty of Administrative Studies at York University
in Toronto. In the 1990s his book Images of Organization became a world-wide bestseller, and became translated into about fifteen languages.
Morgan founded his consultancy firm NewMindsets Inc, and is a Life Fellow at the International Academy of Management.
