Management

Kimble's first step into management came in February 2004, when he was appointed Tilbury

 manager on a caretaker basis until the end of the 2003–04 season.

He then spent time as assistant manager at Burnham Ramblers of the Essex Senior League, before being promoted to manager in October 2008. In his first season in charge, Kimble led the club to a seventh placed finish and to success in the Gordon Brasted Trophy, defeating Enfield 1893 in the final. However, they were denied further success when they were beaten by Barkingside in the Essex Senior League Cup Final. The 2009–10 season started well for Kimble's Burnham side, however, results tailed off after Christmas and having led the league for much of the season they had to make do with a third placed finish behind Champions, Stansted and runners-up Witham Town. They also reached the Essex Senior League Cup Final for a second consecutive season, although they were beaten 4–1 by Bethnal Green United.

Kimble left Burnham and was appointed assistant manager of Isthmian League Premier Division club Aveley
