the Neues kritisches Journal der theologischen Literatur, and alone from 1826 to 1832 the Zeitschrift für wissenschaftliche Theologie.
He is well known as the author of a Grammatik des neutestamentlichen Sprachidioms (1821, 8th ed. revised by P. W. Schmiedel
, 1894 ff.), of which several translations have appeared, the latest being by W. F. Moulton
(1870, 3rd ed. 1882).
