Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, and Track & Field/Cross Country. Sports are part of everyone's life here in the George County School District. The George County High School football team, led by Coach Al Jones, has been district champs for the past three years. They were very successful in the 2007 season defeating Meridian for the South State Title, and going on to play South Panola in the state championship game. Also, this year (2008), The girls' duo tennis team (Dana Ivey and Arlette Cochran) competed in the state playoffs and came out victorious.Previous school years
