in the 2009 NRL season, where he came in to the side at full-back as a last minute replacement for Karmichael Hunt
. He had previously been playing for the Broncos' Toyota Cup side. On the 23rd September, 2011, during the semi finals, Beale made a catch in the 2nd half in which he knee'd captain Darren Lockyer
, causing him to require 3 titanium plates in his face and making him unavailable for the grand final qualifiers. The Broncos ended up losing that grand final qualifier resulting in Darren Lockyer's final career game.
He is a relative of All Black great Zinzan Brooke
and was named in New Zealand
