, then the king of Imereti, in 1711. He was briefly dispossessed by his brother, Levan I Gurieli, from 1712 to 1714. In 1716, he seized the crown of Imereti, but was ousted later that year. Returning to Guria, he was twice dethroned by his brother Kaikhosro III Gurieli and then by Bezhan Dadiani
