and has concentrated on the bass guitar since he was thirteen. He majored in music at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Inevitably his talents forced him to abandon the local scene and move to Nashville and the opportunities offered by Music City, USA. In addition to his studio work he performs regularly in and around Nashville with the likes of Mike Henderson and Kevin Welch

He is perhaps most well known for his work with former Dire Straits front man Mark Knopfler
. Worf has contributed double and electric bass parts to every Knopfler solo album and is a member of his touring band. Worf said he considers it "the supreme honour of my professional career" to play with Knopfler, whom he calls "the greatest musician I've ever met". He also contributed to the BBC documentary on Knopfler Mark Knopfler: a Life in Songs shown on BBC 4 on 28 January 2011.
