. Other places of religious significance are Lakshmi-Narayan temple in BHL Sugar factory and Bhoot Nath temple near Degree College. There are many colleges and schools. There are many markets like Tirath Bazaar, Punjabi market, Tiwari market etc. Tirath Bazaar is primarily a ladies shopping place for bangles, makeup/cosmetics items, Holy books, pooja things etc.
BHL Sugar factory (which is one of the biggest in India) is also worth a visit.

Geography


Gola Gokran Nath is situated at 28.08° N 80.47° E. Gola Gokran Nath is a small town situated at the banks of Sarayan river. It is surrounded by dense tropical forest. Climate

The climate is very hot (32°-43°C)in the summers(June-August).
Being located in the Tarai region of Himalayas, it is not so hot as the other towns in North India. Winters are very cold (4°-17°C).

Industry

Gola is home to one of the biggest Sugar Mills in Asia. Bajaj Hindustan Sugar Mill is situated in the northern part of the town. It (Bajaj Hindustan Sugar Factory, Gola) has sugar generation capacity of 13,000 TCD, distillery capacity of 100 KL and power generation of 30 MW.
Gola is also famous for the cottage industries producing incense sticks.

There is a Ram Madir Near Saraswati Vidya Mandir,Lakhimpur road , Ram Janki Mandir, Punjabi Colony, Mangala Devi Mandir, Khutaar Road, Phool Baba Ashram, Khutar Road, Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, BHL Gola Kheri and Jind Baba-Majaar near Bhavani Ganj, Hanumaaan Mandir-Lakhimpur Road, Durga Mandir-Railway Phatak Aliganj Road.

Historical places

Gola Gokran Nath is famous for its historical Shiva Temple. Baba Bhoot Nath Mandir (बाबा भूतनाथ मंदिर)is situated near C.G.N.(PG) College at Lakhimpur Road.
A beautiful town called Mohammdi is situates at about 30 km west of Gola. Astal Mandir and Shivala Temple are very famous in Mohammadi.

Education

There are many schools and Colleges in Gola Gokran Nath.
St. John's College, Saraswati Vidya Mandir and Saraswati Vidya Niketan are one of the most famous educational institutions.
Public Inter College is the oldest Inter College in the town. Some other old schools are Krishak Samaj Inter College, Lal Bahadur Shashtri Inter College, Gandhi Vidyalaya. Other good schools are Ram Janki Vidya Mandir Inter College, Rajendra Giri Memorial Academy, Children's Academy and Guru Nanak Girls Inter College.
For higher education, Gola has Cane Grower's Nehru Post Graduate College (CGN(PG) College), Guru Nanak P.G. College and Harkishan Singh P.G. College. Though science is taught only in Harkishan Singh P.G. College.

How to Reach

Train: This town lies on meter Gauge. You can reach from Lucknow or from Bareilly.

Road: Gola Gokaran Nath is about 170 km from Lucknow and can be reached via Sitapur and Lakhimpur. This town in 150 km from Bareilly and can be reached via Faridpur, Shahjahanpur and Mohammadi.

Bus: Regular buses ply between Lucknow and Gola Gokaran Nath. There are some buses from Bareilly as well.

Plane:Delhi to Lucknow and then via bus or Train.
