History

On February 12, 2007 MGM Resorts International announced plans to close the Nevada Landing Hotel and Casino and build a master planned community on the 166 acre (0.67177876 km²) it owns in the area in a joint venture with American Nevada Corp. and the Cloobeck Cos. The Gold Strike Hotel and Gambling Hall would remain open.
