Goldey–Beacom College is a private, non-profit, coeducational college in Pike Creek Valley

. It offers degrees in economics, psychology, computer information systems, and business. The college was founded in 1886.
The college traces its origins to September 1, 1886, when business educator Mr. Goldey opened the Wilmington Commercial College with only five students. In 1900, one of Goldey's instructors, W.H. Beacom, parted ways, opening his own school only blocks away. By 1929, the re-named Beacom College had an enrollment over 1000, and for four decades the two engaged in fierce competition. In 1951, the two merged, giving rise to today's Goldey–Beacom College. In 1974, the college relocated from its downtown Wilmington location to the present suburban Pike Creek campus.
The college was first accredited by the Middle States Association in 1976, and has offered baccalaureate degrees since 1978; in 1992, it established the first of its masters programs, which today has with over 300 students. In 2007, the College completed the self-study process for The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and was awarded full ten-year accreditation as a school of business to offer the bachelors and masters degrees. The school is also accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
Today, the college offers undergraduate degrees in criminal justice, English, economics, psychology, computer information systems, and all areas of business including accounting, finance, human resource management, management, international business, and marketing. The MBA degree is offered with concentrations in financial management, information technology, human resource management, and marketing management, as well as a comprehensive MBA degree. The school also offers the Master of Management and MS in Taxation degrees. Over 1600 students are enrolled for academic credit at the College.

Goldey–Beacom College is a small private college offering associate, bachelors, and masters degrees. Its enrollment consists of 1600 students (both full-time and part-time), representing 28 states and 60 nations.The college traces its origins to September 1, 1886, when business educator Mr. Goldey opened the Wilmington Commercial College with only five students.
