Developer members have to make the commitment that at least 50% of their new homes will meet EcoHomes
EcoHomes

 'Excellent' standard, will emit at least 70% less carbon dioxide (compared to the UK average for the building type in 2003), and that will be monitored and assessed after occupation. They also subscribe to a charter containing eight further principles.

Founding

The Good Homes Alliance is to be officially launched on Wednesday February 28, 2007 at the Ecobuild 2007 exhibition. It was founded by four housing developers - BioRegional Quintain, Cornhill Estates, Kingerlee Homes, and Swan Country Homes, together with Natural Building Technologies, the Sustainable Development Foundation, The Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment, Working Group, and the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies at University College London
