Gordon, aka Gordo, played several seasons for the amateur football team The Blue Badgers that played at Hackney Marshes. A highly capable right midfielder he was played predominantly by the manager, Matt Brocklehurst, at center-half. It was in this position that he played a pivotal role in the winning of the Marginal Premier League Cup in 2001.
