From 2006 - 2009 he starred as Little John in all three series of the BBC production of Robin Hood. In 2007, during the filming of the second series, he pulled a ligament in his leg. When he was taken to hospital in Budapest
he was in full mediaeval costume but had had his trousers removed to apply ice to the injury. This, combined with his inability to speak Hungarian, led to him being mistakenly left to one side as the hospital staff thought he was a tramp until they were corrected by a production member.
