line that connects Chicago's Union Station to Grand Rapids. It is located in the Downtown district of Grand Rapids at the corner of Wealthy Street and Market Avenue.
The station is served by Route 8 and Route 18 of the Interurban Transit Partnership

A new station is planned to be built to replace the current one, and is expected to be completed by 2012 or 2013. The new station would be located closer to the Rapid's Central Station and would have more room for train turnarounds. It will be funded by a $3.8 million grant from the Federal Railroad Administration
and $850,000 from the city of Grand Rapids.
Of the 22 Michigan stations served by Amtrak, Grand Rapids was the sixth-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 140 passengers daily.
