 growing, the school over time has got bigger and bigger. The school was not designed to hold any more than 350 children, but there have been several extensions and renovations since then to improve the facilities and to allow up to 400 pupils to be in the school at any one time. There previously was a Music Room but now it is being used for a classroom.

Uniform

The uniform worn by most pupils is a white polo shirt with grey trousers or a skirt. For the minority of children who prefer to be more formal, wearing a white shirt with the gold school tie is optional. A school jumper is available to buy with the school logo on it. Footwear should be black shoes or trainers. In the summer, younger girls have the option to wear a summer dress. The school are quite strict on the wearing of school uniform, although some teachers are more strict on this policy than others,For the 2011/12 year,pupils will not wear polo shirts only

Notable Staff

The school has achieved the Bronze & Silver Awards for an Eco-School. The former Kitchen Cook, Lynne Howe, won the Best Cook of the Year Award in 2006. Judy Henderson, a Primary Four teacher at the time, won the Best Teacher of the Year Award.

Recycling

It is in the school's best interests to recycle as much waste as possible. Earlier in 2009, a recycling bin was fitted so the pupils could recycle old articles of clothing. At lunchtime, pupils get asked to place plastic bottles in a separate recycling bin.
