) of the Town of North Hempstead, New York located on the Great Neck peninsula of Nassau County, New York
. The population was 1,186 at the 2010 census. The name Great Neck Gardens, once proposed for an incorporated village, is rarely used as the area has never in fact been incorporated.

There were 376 households out of which 41.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.5% were married couples
living together, 6.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.0% were non-families. 12.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.90 and the average family size was 3.11.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 28.3% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 21.2% from 25 to 44, 30.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 103.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.3 males.
