Trolley Renewal Project
As part of the 2015 Operating Plan, MTS plans to extend the western portion of the Green Line south towards downtown, and terminating at the Imperial Transit Center's Bayside Terminal; in a route similar to the Special Event Service Line. These newly acquired stations will need to undergo renovation in order to accommodate the new Siemens S70 models, although this will be done over a period of time to prevent the disruption of operation. The New LRVs are scheduled to begin operation on the Green Line in January 2012, although a few of these new trains have begun service as early as October 3, 2011. Currently no stations on the Green Line are closed for these renovations.Future Extension Alignment
