History

Greg's father was, like Elvis Costello's, a talented but not widely known jazz guitarist. Greg Leskiw began playing the guitar at the age of 12. Through Leskiw's high school years he played in Winnipeg rock bands such as The Shags, Logan Avenue, and Wild Rice. By 1969 Wild Rice dissolved, and in mid-1970 he started playing with The Guess Who along with Kurt Winter

. After a few albums with The Guess Who, Leskiw called it quits in early 1972 and formed Mood jga jga, and was a member of Crowcuss with Bill Wallace, who had also been a member of The Guess Who. Crowcuss was formed in 1976 after the Guess Who broke up.
