), character's clothing, all of the gadgets or technology, captions that appear randomly in the cartoon and the show's soundtrack all seem to indicate that decade.
Greg Miller made a pilot for the episode in 2000 to compete with other pilots to be picked up by Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
won the contract but Robot Jones was later picked up in 2002. After waning support from the network executives, constant time slot changes, and steps to 're-develop' the series, such as re-casting the voice of Robot Jones, Greg Miller left the show out of frustration and Robot Jones was left to air its second, and final season.
Despite the show's short-lived run, the series was available on Cartoon Network Video for short periods of time before being removed. MacInTalk was used to provide the voice of Robot Jones in the first season with the voice, Junior but due to production changes, Robot Jones is now voiced by Bobby Block who later redubbs his voice over Macintalk's in the original episodes, meaning that all of the original episodes featuring the Macintalk voice as Robot Jones are considered lost, except some promos uploaded by fans who probably recorded the show at the time.
