They describe their sound as "Groove Goth", their music features influences from many styles, Goth, Rock and industrial being the main ones. Having formed the band, they have quickly gelled, and have enjoyed a great deal of success in a short space of time.
Already having released their first EP "Ascent" to much acclaim, being positively reviewed by Mick Mercer

Their second single "Dirt" has now been released and is also being well received, already receiving positive reviews from 'Nocturnal Magazine', amongst others.
The band have played their first live gigs in the UK, these have been received extremely well. One review describing the band as an "angrier Goth Manic Street Preachers
.", purely for the power of their live performance. The band made their mainland European debut playing The Judgement Day festival in Austria. Again this was very well received , being likened to Placebo
in one review. GIG have already played The Whitby Gothic Weekend
festival, being on the same night as The excellent Eden House, again receiving an extremely positive and enthusiastic reception from the crowd. Including the GIG following “The Green Army”.
So far in 2010 GIG have continued in the same vein, already this year having played The Slaughterhouse
, Berlin and at the Gotham Sounds Festival, Hilden, Germany. Also playing in London at the famous Dead And Buried Club. These were part of the bands 2010 Awakening Tour. This culminated in an appearance at The Lumous Festival, Finland. And lastly the new for this year DV8 Festival York. This was highlighted by the appearance on stage of Rosie Lugosi, March Violets
singing their classic hit "Grooving In Green", the song that gave the band its name. This was greatly received, the band have continued steadily growing in popularity.
Their debut album Post Traumatic Stress was released in 2010 and was recorded and mixed by Steven Carey (ex-Burning Effigy and currently The Eden House and Adoration
). The album is being mastered by Andy Jackson
, Pink Floyd
's legendary engineer, twice Grammy nominated. He also produced Fields Of The Nephilim
in the early 90's. Both Stephen Carey
and legendary bassist Tony Pettit (ex-Fields Of The Nephilim
play on the album. This was released to critical acclaim and has been reviewed in several publications including Gothic Magazine Germany, Dark Entries Magazine Belgium, "what you get in print is a CD of pure gothic rock like you haven’t felt in years" Ascension Magazine Italy Static Magazin Germany.
In 2011 following further successful gigs, including Helldorado Festival, Trondheim, Grooving In Green have now been signed by Glory & Honour Records.

Biography
Grooving in Green were formed in 2008 in Hastings England, featuring ex-members of Children on Stun and Solemn Novena. Following on from Children on Stun, the name is also taken from The March VioletsMarch Violets
